I made full analoge tube pedals based compact pedalboard, and ended at this tone. 😀

We used this song as the intro to my radio show withhorse race calls edited over it. People were more interested in the song than the race calls

This song and Austin, TX are synonymous! Such an amazing time in the local music scene there during the 80s and 90s….

What a joy I feel, whenever I hear this song!

Don't even try. Just enjoy. Everytime I hear this I want to cry.

What’s amazing is when you see him live, his tone sounds just like the albums. I saw EVH a couple times. For 5150 they nailed it. For OU812 it was really mushy.

This was one of the first rock songs my dad ever put on for me when I was little! I think I instantly loved it because it reminded me of something I’d hear from a Megaman X game.

One of those songs that show that having a hook isn’t just about the lyrics; that chorus has never left my head in over 30 years.

Someone fill me in on the story of the lady who lost her dad? I'm confused.

I have been singing/playing on stage and teaching guitar for over 46 years and this guy (and a handful of others) never ceases to amaze or inspire me.

Man this brings tears to my eyes so many memories with this somg playing in the background or on my dads radio in his truck on a summer day. Young in my guitar playing journey my dad showed me this song and it changed my life i couldn't believe that a human being could play guitar like this! My dad passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2011 and the music he shared with me has helped his memory live on. Man this song is a masterpiece ❤ its forever on my soundtrack of life thank you Eric for the incredible music and memories 🎶 ❤️

@Metalhorn says:

That is easily — EASILY — one of the most brilliant live performances of an all-time awesome guitar piece. Superlatives don't suffice.
