Jesse Cook | Rumba Flamenco Music| The Best of “Love in the Time of Covid”
I recorded these songs at home, over four months, at the height of lockdown. Music gave me a way to escape the four walls of my house. And posting these videos gave me a community of music lovers to connect with once a week during our Friday premieres. With music and friends, you can get through almost anything.
Although most of what you see here is me, alone, playing all the instruments, recording, mixing, filming and editing these videos, I was very fortunate to have friends and family who jumped in to help on a few. I am eternally grateful to: CCDOP, Nancy, Corey, both Juans, Dan, Marito, Fethi, and Matt.

I feel this music is so beautiful, it helped me relax. Moreover, the natural scenery is so beautiful that I seem to be in the heaven. It is really peaceful here.

I am crying listening to this beautiful music. I played guitar for 40 years. I am 55. In a cruel twist of fate I can no longer play as arthritis in my hands results in weeks of immobility if I play guitar. My fingers freeze into grotesque claws fill with inflammation and my wrists lock with excruciating glass tearing at my joints and joints ground bone on bone after playing just one song. I loved playing guitar with all my soul. I miss playing now as I miss breathing air under water. I am suffocated with joy listening to Jesse’s spirit in this incredible music. Bless you for sharing this Jesse – my heart flies even as it breaks with memories of music now gone from my hands. 😢❤
