I'm not a guitarist but been listening to metal for quite a while… and with all due respect, I'm kind of puzzled with all the praise this receives. It's extremely fast and probably technically superior to most all others, if not all, but from where I stand the actual music is always sadly lacking. Every single song for it's entirely, is a solo. Yngwie shredding from beginning to end. It's a bit tiring to me and not all that enjoyable. Wish I got it, but I don't.
ok guys lets be honest!! Anyone can play a damn song but it takes a genius like Yngwie to make this shit!

Reading the comments… someone mentioned Prince. Roth, Blackmore, Beethoven, Paganini… not Prince. Prince was a pretty good player… but not in this league. Malmsteen = Awesome.
people always mention guitarist like Prince , Clapton, Hendrix as the best guitarist in the world. Malmsteen, in my opinion is far bettter them them all.
