this sounds better to me with a simple fingerpicking alternate bass style, did that at a gig in a trio setting with harmonica and washboard backing and it went off very well.

try Alkarno Amazing Guitar Alchemist ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.
I really struggle with playing on the guitar and singing at the same time. I mean, when I don't sing, i master to play the song easily.. Any tips?
why do you lift your fingers a bit each time you play a chord? Is that something you need to do?
