Listen carefully for that beautiful falseta starting at 0:49 to about 1:05 that you will hear in Paco Pena's recent granaina "Los Arcos" on his Wigmore Hall Recital album. Paco has made it so beautiful it's almost painful. There is another at about 1:40 that is a familiar melody from Paco's works. You can see why Sabicas was such a strong influence on today's players.

Sabicas was 78 (!) when this recording was done. 25 years ago he unsettled a young flamenco player named Paco de Lucia with the words "A guitarrist should play his own music" (in a hotel room after playing for Sabicas). So 16 year old Paco started composing.
