I am trying to follow you, but with a useless guitar that I have it's difficult to do the hammer! Perhaps it's the time to save for a good expensive guitar. Thank you for you efforts to teach this..
Are you using your nails to finger pick it? I use the flesh part of my fingers and whenever I pick a string my finger hits other strings.
