McLovin9237 says:

This is a NiN song, not Johnny Cash. However it should have been a JC song due to it basically describing his life. Great song either way but I play it differently than shown here.

Gatis! Are you well?

luop70 says:

I learned how to play it from this video (Thanks) but to find the strumming pattern you have to look up the tabs for the intro. If you explained that, this video would be perfect.

JJean1 says:

The x’s mean that you do not play that string when you play the chord. The o’s mean you do not fret the string at all. So, for example, in a C chord, it can be written as x32o1o. The chord is read from left to right and corresponds to the strings from the lowest to the highest (EADGBe). Back to the C chord example, you would not play the low E string. Only strike the other 5 strings with only the A, D, and B strings fretted at the numbered locations. Leave the G and e strings open.

Anton Hoornaert says:

very nice but I al a new player and don’t understand the x and o’s… what does they mean?

Dom Stock says:

thanks for making it simple for novices! nice one 😉

John Bradshaw says:

Really Beautiful Guitar, and the Pup is great also. Thanks for the Lesson. I am very very new at this.

Aussian Rox says:

@StripesBeatbox

1966chimp says:

u do not play those strings

N00binjaProductions says:

X’s mean you don’t strum those chord’s, you skip them and strum everything else; at least that’s what I was told but I’m a noob too 😛
