Vitu says:

I'm not familiar with his work. Are the first 3 minutes part of an actual song or is he just warming up?

Dimebag Darrell says:

That is such a juicy tone at 1:01!

When your sound check is better than 90% of guitar players, you know you're good.

phaserfull says:

The sound is sensational, but the guy who filmed it seems to have smoked something before and during the process. It's a 'logical process, isn't it? LoL.

Saw him by accident as a senior in highschool at a jazz festival 30 years ago. Truly blown away and will never forget it. Nothing like it has happened since. Good to see this.

Baba Looga says:

It’s too bad Jimi didn’t live long enough to stand beside the people he inspired. Can you image what a SRV/Hendrix concert would’ve been like?

Mark Witzkoske says:

I’ve seen SRV 4 times. Houston,Austin and Tulsa. He’s the best ever. The last time I saw him in Tulsa at the Brady Theater he was awesome. But he was so coked out he rambled and spoke shit. He was so high. Great show.

Sentinel Eye says:

When people say "Ah thats legit" this is the standard for "legit" they are referring to.

Teemu Diver says:

Well, after looking a lot of YouTube videos from various guitar players I must come to a conclusion,SRV was one of a kind,I do not like to use theword best, but still u know what I mean, long live Stevie !

Mark Hall says:

Band seemed very awake. Not even an "and one, two", spot on…

Alec Cullen says:

I saw SRV at The Sydney Opera House…he said it was an honour to play there…but he honoured us with his presence and his sublime playing.Vale.

Daniel Crook says:

I'm glad they left this video clip on here. This shows what drugs can do to a person and it wasn't I'm half asleep and just woke up and it wasn't because SRV didn't have talent. He was one of if not the greatest blues and rock guitarists that ever lived. It was cocaine and remember '86 was the year that Stevie kicked the drugs and his playing was as sharp as a sraight razor after he cleaned up. I played in a blues band with a guitarist who, like Stevie was miles ahead of me playing wise but drugs took his life…he never could stop and OD'd in 2005. We played jump boogie and Chicago blues and my friend was so good that I thought he'd be bored to death playing with us but he liked it and when it was time for a solo I'd tell him to go get it and man could he play. He'd make people ooh and ah with his guitar trickery and I still miss him a lot 13 years after his passing. If you have a talent people should hear or see it but drugs can kill it no matter how much talent you have. Bottom line…stay off the hard stuff.
